What is a Color Run?
Our Color Run is an untimed event where you run 3 laps on the cross country course (1.5 miles). At set points on the course, Color Runners are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. When the race is over, the fun continues in our Race Village: a community party with music, photo ops, a giant inflatable dual slide, a Wrecking Ball inflatable, photo booth and food vendors. There will also be a Brooklawn Knights Color Rush banner that we encourage all to take lots of selfies in front of! Trust us, this will be the best post-run party in Parsippany!
How do I sign-up?

Is there a deadline for registration?
Only people who sign up by midnight March 31st will be guaranteed a t-shirt and/or bandanas if they order them. You can send in your registration later or sign-up that night, but those items will only be available in limited quantities and will be first come , first serve until they run out.
Do I have to run? Do I have to go all 3 laps?
You may participate in the race and walk, rather than run. You can choose the distance you prefer to go as well! We will start the heats based on the length you want to participate.
Can I do the course with a stroller?
We encourage anyone who brings a stroller to go as many times around the upper paved oval as they want! Going down into the lower back field on the uneven surface and in the woods returning back to the top of the course would be more difficult.
How many color stations will there be?
We will have 5 different color stations where bright green, royal blue, orange, yellow and hot pink color will be thrown on race participants!
What’s in the powder?
The color that is thrown on the runners and provided for the runners to throw on each other is made of corn starch. If you have allergies or other concerns you can read more about the product here.
Can spectators buy food that day?
Yes you can! All runners' registration fees include a meal, but spectators can purchase a meal for $5 as well. We encourage spectators to buy tickets in advance so we have a good idea of how much extra food to order in addition to having enough to cover the advanced orders. Ticket includes main protein option, bag of chips & water bottle.
What’s to eat?
There will be pizza, hamburgers, hotdogs and veggie burgers for your main protein options. We will have a snack and popcorn stand, a water tent (free), a beverage tent (sodas, Gatorade, etc.), and a cotton candy machine will be spinning!
Is it expensive to eat there?
We are keeping prices very low, simply to cover our costs. Drinks will be $1.00-$2.00, water is free. The meal ticket is $5.00. Most snacks are $1.00. Cotton Candy is $2.00.
How long will it last?
The race begins at 11:00 AM, and families are encouraged to hang out for the post-race meal, snacks and party. We expect the festivities to conclude around 1 PM.
Can I just drop my kids off and let them go?
That is an option, however we are encouraging parents to attend because we are trying to host a family-oriented event. There will be plenty of tables to sit at…..just bring your camping/folding chair from soccer/softball/baseball practice!
When do the kids get their race t-shirt?
We will be handing out the goody bags (t-shirt, meal tix, extra surprises) during 8th period the Friday before the race. Please specify your oldest BMS child's name on your registration form as each family will get ONE goody bag, sent home with the child specified. Anyone who doesn’t pick-up at school, we will bring it Friday night.
Can the students/siblings dress up in costume?
Absolutely we will encourage that! We are trying to put together a Costume Contest for the Best Individual and Best Team costume showing! Get creative and have fun!!!!
